Responding to the needs
of our communities
AFL’s Community Outreach Program evolved in response to needs in the communities where we have operations. As we expand into new communities, we continue to seek opportunities to reach out and help our neighbors. It is in this spirit that AFL imagines.
Imagine building a foundation so that communities can thrive. Imagine individuals coming together to build on that foundation and helping neighbors. Imagine giving hope and eliminating despair. Imagine making a lasting impact on the lives of strangers. Imagine being part of a company that does this.
AFL is committed to being an exemplary corporate citizen in the communities where we operate. With the help of our Community Advisory Board, we are reaching that goal—connecting with our communities through financial and social commitments, and improving the quality of life.
Why? Because it’s in our DNA. We have seen our commitments work. We have witnessed families finding a place to call home; we have witnessed students with an opportunity to expand their horizons beyond what they ever dreamed possible; we have witnessed families with food on their plates and holiday gifts for their children; and we see so much more that can happen if we connect with our communities.
AFL’s Community Outreach Program consists of several initiatives – all with the same goal: to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Grants • ACT Programs • Take Root • United Way • Month of Service • Disaster Relief • Sponsorships
Through these initiatives, AFL imagines communities that are strong and thriving.
