AFL Races for a Cure 2011

On September 24, a host of AFL associates, family and friends came out to Greenville’s Fluor Field to participate in the 2011 SC Mountains to Midlands Race for the Cure®. Over 50 people representing AFL participated in some way – either donating to our $1,000 fundraising goal or walking and/or running during the event, or in some cases both! AFL associates, friends and family donated $1,400 to the cause! All funds raised from Komen Race for the Cure go to research, education, screening and treatment programs.

Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1 billion since its inception in 1982. Komen’s promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
