AFL believes in giving back to our communities. As a concerned corporate citizen, AFL understands the needs in our communities and turns those into opportunities. One way AFL’s Community Outreach Program makes this possible is through grants which target two areas:

The Rogue and aeRos platform is a suite of modular test products and cloud-based software built around the way fiber optic networks are built, operated and maintained.
Light Brigade partners with Fiber Insight to offer design and engineering customers two new courses—Certified Optical Network Associate (CONA) and Certified Fiber Characterization Engineer (CFCE)
Several AFL associates were recognized for receiving patent awards for developing new products and technologies within the optical connectivity, fusion splicing and test and inspection divisions.
Three schools in the upstate of South Carolina received small pine trees from AFL’s Community Outreach Program in celebration of Arbor Day.
The volunteer project is part of AFL’s ACT (AFL Community Team) program where teams of associates gather for three to four hours providing a service for a nonprofit organization.
