AFL will be exhibiting at SPIE Photonics West 2012, the world's largest laser and photonics event, held January 24-26 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Among its new products, AFL is introducing a new LZM-100 LAZERMaster™ laser glass processing and splicing system that uses a carbon dioxide laser heat source rather than electrodes to ensure repeatable performance and low maintenance. With a customizable platform, the LZM-100 is ideal for splicing, tapering or glass shaping.
In addition, AFL will demonstrate the latest enhancements to State of the ARC™ technology on Fujikura FSM-100 ARCMaster™ fusion splicers. A new IPA Auto method provides universal alignment of PM fibers without software upgrades, new fiber recognition profiles or image analysis.
Joining AFL in Booth #801 is Verrillon, Inc., an AFL company that manufactures specialty optical fiber, and NYFORS™, a leading manufacturer of fiber preparation equipment used in fiber optic fusion splicing. Verrillon will be showcasing specialty fiber used in the oil and gas, avionics and industrial markets. NYFORS is introducing three products including the new AutoCoater™ and MiniCoater™ recoating technology and the latest CleaveMeter™ which now provides 3D interferometer cleave defect analysis.
Throughout the week AFL associates will be demonstrating new products on the show floor:
Tuesday, January 24, 1:30 PM, North Hall
Robust Adiabatic Fiber Tapering Equipment for Production Lines
Thursday, January 26, 12:30 PM, South Hall
Fourier Analysis Method for Asymmetric Polarization-Maintaining Fiber Alignment
Thursday, January 26, 2:30 PM, South Hall
