AFL Signs Systicom Solutions as Authorised Distributor

AFL, a leading international manufacturer of fibre optic cable and accessories, announces that Systicom Solutions is now an authorised distributor of AFL specialty fibre optic cable products including ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting cable), SkyWrap®, FIMT, MicroCore® data centre and blown fibre cables, downhole cables and tactical field cables. Systicom Solutions is headquartered in the Netherlands and serves the oil and gas, power utilities and renewable energies industries.

AFL's Swindon facility manufactures SkyWrap, a small cable that is helically wrapped around existing overhead power lines, as well as Optical Ground Wire and ADSS. In 2010, AFL opened a new fibre optic facility to support the European region with customised optical fibre interconnect cables and in 2011 acquired TCC Group to provide communications services to the European market.
