Splicing and Optimization Services

AFL provides custom engineering services for special splicing or fiber preparation applications. These services may include custom hardware or software design, and process improvement consultation. Services may also include advanced splicer training and maintenance service agreements.

A New Generation of Splicing: State of the ARC™

When you need sub-micron accuracy, reliability and consistent splicing for fiber optic lasers, choose the ARCMaster™ series of fusion splicers. With this new generation of splicers, Fujikura reshaped and retooled an entire product line to deliver top technologies.
 
ARCMaster fusion splicers were introduced as a result of years of engineering and design using a patent-pending split-V-groove clamping system. The positioning system delivers unprecedented versatility for splicing LDFs (Large Diameter Fibers), speciality coated, polarization-maintaining fibers, double clad, small diameter, and many other specialty fibers. By calibrating the electrodes inside the splicer, the fiber is spliced in a flat, uniform manner for low loss and high performance.
 
Additionally, Fujikura's revolutionary fiber imaging technology, Interrelation Profile Alignment (IPA), alignment and splicing capabilities are possible with virtually any PM fiber type. Longer fiber tapering is possible with Fujikura's Sweep Arc technology. Incorporating profile alignment system (PAS) using cold fiber image and warm image technologies, the optical analysis system delivers improved loss estimation capabilities and fiber image performance with large or small diameter or heat sensitive fibers.
 

Connector solutions
