Designed to control Aeolian or wind-induced vibration in long bus spans, bus dampers have been proven both in the laboratory and field service to be the most effective method of controlling bus vibration. The dampers are faster and easier to install than the old method of inserting "scrap" cable into the bus runs. Also, the dampers find applications for correcting a vibration problems in existing substations.
