New Splicers Push Limits

There are not many things you can do in six seconds. Take a sip of coffee, read a text, watch a vine, maybe do a couple pushups if you’re really good.

Our product developers at AFL have just added something new to this short list. With our new Fujikura 41S Core Sensing fusion splicer you can cut you splicing time down to six seconds. Yes, you read that right. But it gets even better. The 41S is equipped with Bluetooth® technology for state-of-the-art cleaver management with our new CT50 series fiber cleaver. This allows you to save time when maintenance is necessary and maximize blade life.41S

The 41S has also pushed the bar when it comes to the core sensing loss estimation technology. You can now evaluate your core alignment during the splicing process. Yes, it does that in the six seconds too! The accuracy of the estimation is unrivaled in cladding alignment type splicers. We have also accomplished an industry first by designing the 41S with cleaver blade positions that can be advanced automatically based on cleave quality assessment. And of course we added a touchscreen with easy to navigate menus. How much easier can it get?  41S

All these features of the 41S are state-of-the-art, cutting-edge technology. But maybe you just need a simple, easy, fast splicer without all the bells and whistles. Our product developers created that too! Our new 31S fusion splicer still has that amazing new six-second splicing time, and that same touchscreen for easy use. Both models were designed with that legendary Fujikura ruggedness and quality. They both also feature removable sheath clamps allowing you to utilize fiber holders.

What if your splicer breaks or is having problems? At AFL we operate the only authorized repair facility for Fujikura splicing products in the U.S. What if it’s 2:00 in the morning and you have a question about your splicer or can’t figure out how to use it? Our splicers feature complimentary on-site training and technical support available 24/7.

It’s time to add splicing to the list of things you can do in six seconds. You know what you can also do in six seconds? Dial your sales rep to ask them how you can get your new fusion splicer. Then with all that time you’re going to save by using your new splicer, you can leave a comment below letting us know what you love about the 41S and the 31S!
