Eric Borowicz

General Manager Accessories

Eric Borowicz serves as general manager for AFL’s accessories business. Eric is responsible for managing AFL’s utility and rail accessories product lines, including electrical compression fittings, substation components, wire products, motion control systems, and light and heavy rail transit systems.

Before his appointment to general manager, Eric served as the operations manager for the accessories business and was responsible for all operational aspects of the manufacturing facility, from raw material procurement, to manufacturing to warehouse and shipping. Eric also directed the group’s facility and design engineering departments. One of Eric’s most significant accomplishments in this role was the successful relocation of the accessories manufacturing facility/warehouse in late 2012. He was also responsible for the operational assessment and subsequent relocation of AFL’s acquisition of the Dossert Corporation in 2008.

Prior to joining AFL, Eric worked with Michelin Tire Corporation in various production management roles. As production manager/facilitator for Michelin’s earthmover tire group, Eric managed “Greenfield” plant startup and development of an integrated high performance work team environment for over 200 manufacturing professionals. Eric was also responsible for production activities for the plant with the significant achievement of startup and production build up that resulted in $3.2M of savings for the first year.

Eric also served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant responsible for the tactical readiness and employment of the sonar, fire control and weapons delivery systems for a nuclear attack submarine.

Eric is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, M.D., where he earned a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering. He has also served on the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance Plant Managers Board of Directors.
