FibreFab Presents £2,000 Grant to White Spire School


Milton Keynes, UK and Spartanburg, SC – FibreFab, a division of AFL, a leading global fiber optics manufacturer and service provider, presented a £2,000 grant to White Spire School to enhance students’ learning experiences through the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources in classrooms. Funding will help provide students with the opportunity to interact connect and learn using tablets and interactive white boards to further develop students’ skills and understanding necessary for an ever-growing technological age.

The grant was presented to Phil Wilson, assistant head teacher at White Spire School, and Liz Manning, deputy head teacher.

“It is important to provide an environment that is adaptable and meets the needs of all students and to engage them in appealing and exciting learning experiences. We are so grateful for the opportunity to satisfy these needs with the help of AFL,” stated Manning.

The White Spire School is dedicated to providing a stimulating and caring environment where students can learn, grow and reach their full potential. The school’s staff works with 140 students with special needs, ranging in age from 5 to 18. The White Spire School works closely with parents and partners to encourage students to think creatively and innovatively to overcome individual challenges and to provide them with a high quality of learning in a safe community.
