Product Description

AFL’s high density CARDConnect ferrule insert assemblies provide modular connectivity
within blind-mate and front panel connector housing solutions. The ferrule insert assemblies are sold separately from connector housing hardware to allow customizable
connector assembly designs to meet application requirements including fiber count,
fiber/cable type and the ability to incorporate custom fiber shuffles. The CARDConnect
ferrule inserts are designed to meet the requirements of TELCORDIA-GR-1435-CORE.

CARDConnect ferrule insert assemblies are available in traditional epoxy/polish MT
ferrules or AFL’s expanded beam lens MT ferrule providing flexibility of choice between
traditional physical contact and non-contact expanded beam connector technology
within the same connector hardware platform. Individual MT ferrules are combined with
a RJ-45 style mechanical latching system for insertion into either the high density
blind-mate or front panel connector hardware packages.
