Interface Kits for Rack Enclosures Features and Benefits • Multi-enclosure Interface kit: These kits are used to separate the inner fibre tubes, within a loose tube cable, into separate enclosures. This eliminates the need for separate breakout boxes or enclosures, thus reducing rack space. They can also be used for terminations in multiple wall enclosures. Each enclosure requires a 20 mm hole for conduit fixing. • Multi-cable Interface kit: These kits are used to combine and retain the inner fibre tubes of up to 4 incoming cables. These tubes are then fed into one enclosure for termination. This product eliminates the need to fasten each cable individually, and is ideal where space between the rear of the enclosure and the rack is limited. Additional cables can be added to the kit, after the initial installation of one cable, thus saving costs on additional kits. This enclosure requires a 20 mm hole for conduit fixing. • Flexible corrugated conduit and snap-on fittings: Made from corrugated conduit that is strong enough to protect fibre tubes from kinking, yet flexible enough to maintain enclosure movement. All gland fittings are ‘quick release’, making it easy to vary individual conduits to specific lengths. • Remote cable fixing: Incoming loose tube cables can be remotely broken out and fixed in the floor or roof cavity, outside the rack. This would allow only the conduit tails to enter the rack for easier management. AFL’s range of cable and enclosure Interface kits are proudly Australian designed and manufactured.
