AFLglobal.com | 800.235.3423 Comealong for Optical Ground Wire – OCA Series OPGW Comealongs are stringing tools designed for pulling optical ground wire up to initial sag tensions. If the required tension is greater than the rated tension of a single comealong, two or more comealongs should be used (refer to Installation Instructions). When desired sag tension is reached, the cable should be dead ended promptly and the comealong removed. Comealongs must receive periodic maintenance. This practice should consist of a thorough cleaning with close inspection for nicked or rough cable grooves, cracked body, bent eye bolts, or damaged bail. The eyebolts should be kept clean and oiled. The cable groove should be kept clean and dry. After each six months use and at the beginning of each job, all comealongs should be subjected to a pull test equal to its rated strength. If any damage is found, the comealong should be disposed of properly. Los cables OPGW son herramientas de tendido diseñadas para tirar del cable óptico de tierra hasta las tensiones iniciales de pandeo. Si la tensión requerida es mayor que la tensión nominal de una sola tira reactiva, deben utilizarse dos o más tiras reactivas (consulte las instrucciones de instalación). Cuando se alcanza la tensión de pandeo deseada, el cable debe ser terminado rápidamente y el comealong debe ser retirado.
Los Comealongs deben recibir un mantenimiento periódico. Esta práctica debe consistir en una limpieza a fondo con una inspección minuciosa en busca de ranuras de cable melladas o ásperas, cuerpo agrietado, pernos de ojo doblados o fianza dañada. Los cáncamos deben mantenerse limpios y aceitados. La ranura del cable debe mantenerse limpia y seca. Después de cada seis meses de uso y al comienzo de cada trabajo, todos los comealongs deben ser sometidos a una prueba de tracción igual a su resistencia nominal. Si se encuentra algún daño, el comealong debe ser desechado o enviado a AFL para su reelaboración y recertificación.
