AFL Filler Compound

Features:

  • AFC contains hard, metallic particles, otherwise known as ‘grit’. During compression, the compound grit is embedded between the conductor and the accessory, creating an irregular surface.
  • Irregular surface increases the holding strength when tension is applied and improves conductivity by forming a bare metal to metal connection

Applications:

  • Filler compound for compression accessories operating at temperatures up to 180ºC (355ºF)
  • Used for aluminum on aluminum (example: dead ends, compression joints, terminals and jumper connections)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

AFL Filler Compound (AFC) is the recommended filler for compression fittings as it improves the mechanical holding strength and conductivity of the connection. If AFC is kept in a dry place, it has an infinite shelf life.
