The cables are securely terminated at each end by a compression connector provided with a tapered sleeve and compression nut; the combination of which establishes high mechanical advantage and electrical efficiency. The fusible links are readily replaced after clearing a faulted line. Circuit protection can be established at various current levels by choice of link ampere capacity.
