PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The LightGuard (LG) 1642XL-FTTx Aerial Closure is a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution for installation of preconnectorized drops. The LG-1642XL-FTTx is the first AFL closure to utilize the patent-pending SnapIt!™ rapid OSP drop installation design.
The LG-1642XL-FTTx comes equipped with eight SC-APC adapters with the back side of the adapters and splice tray isolated from the rest of the closure. Pigtail splices and connectors remain protected from accidental damage from installation craft, but are easily accessible in the need of repair or change.
The bottom of the closure features eight grommeted entries for drop installation. During installation of the SnapIt! OSP drop cable, the grommet is removed and the drop is installed using the one-step press-snap feature of the SnapIt! drop. The SnapIt! drop provides the required cable pull retention along with providing a weathertight seal for the prevention of dust, dirt, rain, or insect ingress.
