12/18/2018

Spartanburg, SC – AFL, an international manufacture of fiber optic cable, equipment and accessories, introduces its high fiber count Indoor/Outdoor Plenum tight buffered cables. Ideal for campus environments, the helically-stranded design is available from 36 to 72 fibers. The sub-units and outer sheath contain a UV stabilizer and anti-fungus protection for use in outdoor applications.

The OFNP cable features water-blocked sub-units which meet water penetration requirements of GR-20-CORE to help ensure that any damage to the cable is restricted to a repairable length of several meters. The outer jacket is moisture-resistant, fungus-resistant and UV-resistant for outdoor use, and can be used in all environment including riser, general inside plant and outside plant.

The cables are tested to meet or exceed EIA/TIA 568-A/GR-409-CORE and ICEA-S-104-696, and are compliant to Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS).
