On May 1, President Trump signed an Executive Order to secure the United States bulk power system. Specifically, this guards against the purchase and installation of products from foreign adversaries. With the nation’s bulk power system being a potential target, AFL is committed to protecting the integrity of the transmission and substation electrical grid.

AFL manufactures its fiber optic cable, fiber optic hardware, transmission, substation and distribution products at multiple facilities in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. Because we manufacture within the United States, we believe our products, inclusive of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), ADSS, transmission and substation system components, align with this Executive Order and the intent of President Trump.
