Increasingly Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) has become more integral to the electric grid. From protecting circuits from lightning strikes and running faults to ground, OPGW also provides an optical pathway for utilities, enabling more efficient grid management. In this webinar, attendees will learn more about the traditional and not-so-traditional—yet effective—uses of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW).

About the speaker
Adam Harrison started his career with AFL nearly 10 years ago providing applications engineering support for electric utility customers. With experience in designing fiber optic cabling solutions, installing networks and training field technicians, Adam has developed utility network solutions—from concept to completion. As AFL’s Energy Market Solutions Manager, he directs the application engineering team. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Material Science & Engineering from Clemson University.
