As the adoption of multi-fiber connectors becomes more prevalent in data centers, the ability to test these types of connections accurately and quickly has become even more critical. AFL’s MPO-24 Switch enables OTDR- testing of MPO-24/MTP ® -terminated cables, as well as MPO-16, MPO-12 and MPO-8 terminated cables with the appropriate launch rings. The MPO-24 optical fiber switch allows users to verify some or all fibers in a multi-fiber connector in a single test, saving both time and money by automating the scanning process without the need to manually plug and unplug each fiber. AFL’s MPO-24 Switch is compatible with AFLs FlexScan FS200 and FS300 series OTDRs and can be ordered as part of a kit, or as an add-on kit for those with FS200/FS300 series OTDRs. AFL's Multi-fiber switch enables the testing of 12 fiber cables without the need to use a breakout cable. The switch allows you to utilize a single piece of test equipment to seamlessly cycle through all of the fibers in a connector regardless of polarity without having to disconnect and reconnect your test equipment making the testing of your network more efficient, saving you both time and money.
AFL’s Multi-Fiber switch can be used with AFL's Rogue platform to make testing automatic.
It is also compatible with your existing OTDR, OLTS and Certification equipment.
