The foundation of the design is the multi-fiber-set, gel-filled buffer tube construction. The kink-resistant buffer tube contains multiple 12-fiber sets of color-coded fibers. Each set within the buffer tube is grouped using dual color-coded binder threads. The dry-blocked core is made up of SZ-stranded buffer tubes around a central strength member. The low-friction, high-strength overall jacketing system protects the cable-core while providing an optimized cable package supporting high-speed, long-distance jetting performance. The unique, high- fiber density geometry yields a cable construction that can accommodate up to 432 fibers and can be blown into microducts ranging in inside diameters from 10 mm to 16 mm. La serie de cables AFL OSP MicroCore® está diseñada para su instalación en el exterior en sistemas de conductos de microconductos. La base del diseño es la construcción del tubo amortiguador con múltiples fibras y relleno de gel. El tubo tampón resistente al doblado contiene múltiples juegos de 12 fibras codificadas por colores. Cada juego dentro del tubo tampón se agrupa utilizando hilos de unión de doble color. El núcleo bloqueado en seco está formado por tubos de amortiguación de filamentos SZ alrededor de un elemento de resistencia central. El sistema de revestimiento general de baja fricción y alta resistencia protege el núcleo del cable al tiempo que proporciona un paquete de cables optimizado que admite un rendimiento de chorro de alta velocidad y larga distancia. La exclusiva geometría de alta densidad de fibras da lugar a una construcción de cable que puede alojar hasta 432 fibras y puede soplarse en microconductos con diámetros interiores de 10 a 16 mm.
